Responsibilities:

Program Overview:

TEAMS-Next Specialty Engineering Analysis (SEA) contract is seeking an Intermediate MBSE Engineer, to provide dedicated MBSE support to the Missile Defense Agency Space Sensors (MDA/SS) program office.

This position provides support to the MDA/SS Chief Engineer as well as Spacebased Kill Assessment (SKA), Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS), and other classified programs.

Work location: onsite at Schriever SFB.

Job Responsibilities:

As a mid-level MBSE Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for architecting, developing, and managing a model-based system engineering (MBSE) environment for capturing all project content. This person should be familiar with Magic Draw, as this is the primary MBSE tool we use.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Will be primarily responsible for executing the model-based systems engineering (MBSE) effort based on Govt direction
  • Experience implementing systems engineering processes using MBSE Tools.
  • Have the ability to depict technical approaches, designs, block diagrams, and implementations in written and graphical form
  • Required to work onsite at Schriever SFB

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

7 years' of relevent experience with Bachelors’ degree in Engineering - ABET accredited school required.

Required Clearance:

Must have an active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient using systems engineering modeling tools (e.g., CORE, Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw or MapleMBSE) to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification & validation, and continuing throughout development and later life-cycle phases.
  • Demonstrated ability to devise solutions for complex problems that require in-depth analysis of tangible and intangible factors.
  • Experience with the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to systems engineering.
  • Experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary project team that may include engineers, scientists, designers, and technicians.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment; present and explain technical information to colleagues, management, or sponsors.

Desired Skills:

  • Masters degree in engineering.
  • INCOSE certification.
  • Space systems background.
  • Current TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Velocity templating language.
  • Understanding of versioning control and database management.
  • Understanding of frameworks such as Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Tactical Open Government Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and languages such as Unified Modeling Language (UML) and System Modeling Language (SysML).
  • Project management experience, to include management of administrative requirements and deliverable tracking.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $130-140K/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
