Responsibilities:

The System Administrator you will be responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of system and networking technologies. This position will be located in the Washington, DC area.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Performing systems administrator functions on Windows servers and workstations.
  • Configuring and maintaining routers, switches and other networking equipment.
  • Servicing more than 400 local and remote network users of multi-level classified systems.
  • Working with an IT and IA team to establish overall priorities and respond to the daily and unique requests from team members, users and program support personnel.
  • Maintaining a professional and courteous relationship with all team members is absolutely critical as is an earnest desire to find and detect problems and then work with the IT and IA team to develop and implement a solution.

Qualifications:

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

  • 10 years' experience working experience with DoD networks.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of:
    o Windows 10 desktop operating systems
    o Exchange Server 2013 and Windows Server 2016 and 2019 in both physical and virtualized environments.
  • Must have a DoD IAT Level II – DoD 8140 (Formally 8570) certifications (i.e., Security+)
  • Must have experience with configuring Windows Active Directory and Group Policies
  • Have a robust familiarization with the DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) that deal with maintaining the network security posture and be able to communicate to leadership with recommendations/guidance to growing and improving the network design.
  • Experience with planning, implementing, administering, and securing network infrastructure including network security appliances, routers, managed switches, servers, workstations, peripherals, cabling, and other equipment
  • Experience with TCP/IP protocols and advanced IT networking concepts required.
  • Working knowledge of several of the following technologies: Microsoft Windows, Linux, Cisco IOS, DNS, Disk SAN, security assessment tools and network hardware and media (blade-servers, fiber- channel, and network cabling)
  • Experience implementing, upgrading, and administering Windows servers, including SQL Server.
  • Good communications and people skills, both oral and written, is an absolute must.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds including government and external industry personnel.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (e.g., cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering).
  • 10 years' of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.

Clearance requirement: Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI)
